Roman has completely recovered from his health problems that he had suffered from after the Tour de Romandie. He took a proper rest and with his next goal in mind, he is going to resume his training to prepare for the Tour de Swiss that starts in a month.

Roman´s performance at the Tour de Romandie fell far short of his expectations since the final 30th position didn’t fulfill his ambitions that he had entered the race with. Health problems kicked him out of the contention for a favorable result.

Roman managed to shake off the fatigue that had set in after the Liege-Bastogne-Liege and he felt much better during yesterday´s stage of the Tour de Romandie than in the opening prologue.

The opening 7.5km prologue of the Tour de Romandie didn’t work out for Roman as he had imagined. He lost 51 seconds to the British Sky rider Froome.

After Roman´s Amstel Gold Race victory the Liege-Bastogne-Liege performance left a bitter taste in his mouth. Having suffered from cramps he crossed the finish line almost 10 minutes behind the winner.
