CAS refused the appeal. I believe we will win, says Roman

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), with its headquarters in Lausanne, turned down the appeal of Roman Kreuziger against his provisional suspension that was imposed by the International Cycling Union (UCI) due to irregularities in his biological passport.

Roman participated in the appeal hearing in Lausanne personally together with his attorney Jan Šťovíček. “We do not agree with that decision. We do not think that it is the right one but we have to respect it. For now, we have received the decision made by the CAS without any justification. We should receive it within 14 days and we are really curious to see what the reason will be,” said Jan Šťovíček.

“We did our best to succeed at the arbitration hearing. We said everything that we were supposed to and we did not make any mistake. We were unsuccessful but we are not giving in,” said Roman. “We see it as the first clash in a lengthy war that we have been waging. I believe that we will eventually win.”
