Done with practice, time to race

Our training camp on Tenerife is coming to its end, on Friday night I should be back in Italy. It was the last leg of my pre-season practice, this coming Tuesday I will kick off my racing season with the Tour of Sardinia.

Our Tenerife training camp went off as planned despite unfavorable weather conditions during the last three days, but all in all, it was a success. On top of that, the news of our teammates Chichi and Bennati, former finishing first in two stages in Qatar, latter taking the first place in one stage in Oman really made our day – way to go! 
Practice rides were my main goal on Tenerife, but I did manage to watch some of the Olympic Games on TV. I kept my fingers crossed for Bauer big time to win a medal and he did. He is a real champion. When I get back to Italy I will try to see a little bit more of the Games but with the races approaching it remains to be seen how often I will be able to sit and watch.
