I suffered a bit but I remain calmSat July 10, 2010, 19:19 All the big favorites of this year’s Tour, Roman included, finished in one group paying hardly any attention to the Frenchman Chavanel who took the victory with a small time advantage and consequently donned the yellow jersey. Roman is now sitting in twelfth position overall. "It was relatively tough due to the unbearable heat and at the end the high pace was quite tricky even though one could get easily sheltered on that climb. I think that tomorrow somebody is going to pay the price for today’s stage. I am glad to have finished in the strong group with Ivan although I wasn’t feeling that good. But I did expect that I would struggle a bit in the first mountain stage. I remain calm and believe that it will be better tomorrow with at least as good legs as today," Roman said.
