Kicking off the season in France

In the first quarter of the season he is going to participate in four big stage races, including Paris-Nice, Tour of Romandy and Tour of Basque Country. Apart from that, he is returning to some of the classic races, such as the Amstel Gold Race, Fleche Wallone and Liege-Bastogne-Liege. “I have to say that the racing program suits me down to the ground. I picked the races I wanted to ride and I will especially target the classic races that will be my first highlight of the season,” said Roman who will announce his further racing program later. There are 16 of us because some guys are currently competing in Australia and Argentina. Besides, four young riders of the Danish national team have been riding with us,” he revealed. He feels that his training is going as planned and he believes that we will be well prepared for the first races. “The weather is really superb here, the temperature is ranging from 20 to 25 degrees during the day. The training sessions are currently aimed at high intensities because the first races are just around the corner. We ride mostly in the mountains and we also practice on our time trial bikes. I am really happy with the way things are going here. We are still lacking the racing rhythm but I am sure that we will get into it shortly,” added Roman who is returning home next Monday.
