My legs were brick in the rain

Are you happy with your performance?I was feeling good but when it started raining and I got cold, my legs were getting stiff. I won´t talk about the first two riders but the guys like Scarponi or Nibali were pretty much on the same level as myself. We watched each other. The most important thing is that I didn’t lose any time.What do you think of Contador?He proved to be absolutely dominating. He is in a league of his own and he does whatever he likes. I’d rather not comment on Rujano…The team seemed to have been working very well. Who is your key lieutenant?All of my teammates are doing a great job, they all deserve a word of praise. Kiserlovski got away today, which played into our hands. But it was Euskatel who brought him back, they were making the race today. But after that, Masciarelli and Tiralongo stayed with me in the front group. They are both riding in top form in the mountains.How did you like the fan support?I saw loads of Czech and Slovak flags waving along the route. It was great to have such support and I would like to thank all the people who decided to travel such distances from their homes because of me.Do you remain confident before the tough mountain stages?I managed to save enough energy today and I know it is going to be a big fight. I believe that somebody from the front will drop off and hopefully, it won´t be me.
