Paris-Nice? A shorter version of the Tour

Today Roman is heading to France to be on the starting line for the 68th edition of the Paris-Nice. The riders are going to cover the total of 1288 kilometers in eight stages.

"I'm feeling good and I'm going there with a cool head. I know that there is no need to worry for me even though the competition there will be much tougher than it was at the Sardinia," said Roman who will be the leader of Liquigas. 
"I don't want to make any predictions in advance because the weather conditions will be crucial for my possible success. Rain and cold weather is not my cup of tea – it is difficult for me to ride in such conditions." Roman has participated in this race four times. "But I didn't finish last three of them, only in my first run I finished eighteenth, I think," Roman added. 
"In a way it is a shorter version of the Tour. The race is tough, its atmosphere is tense and it is often plagued by miserable weather. All depends on top riders’ shape, in my opinion Contador is the biggest contender for the victory." 
Roman had covered a lot of tough kilometers before his departure from Italy. "On Wednesday I underwent a test which confirmed that I am in good shape. I also spent an hour daily on my time-trial bike to get used to it before the race prologue. Today I did three and half hours and I must say that I am happy with my condition," Roman added.
