Roman keeps the race leadThu February 25, 2010, 20:58 Roman Kreuziger kept the race lead after the third stage of the Giro di Sardegna. The flat stage was won by Petacchi after a bunch sprint.
"After 70 kilometers a bunch of five riders got away and Petrov who was losing 30 seconds on me was in it. But I can say that we had it under control and then even Lampre helped us out. We chased down the last escapees with ten kilometers to go and then it was all about the sprint," Roman described. "I was pretty worn-out after the yesterday’s stage so I was feeling a little tired today but I guess the first race took its toll and the body will get used to it. Tomorrow we will face up to a stage with a 40-kilometer ascent before the finish but I hope we will control the race once again."
