Roman’s case heard before the Czech Olympic Committee

The arbitration commission of the Czech Olympic Committee began the hearing of Roman´s case concerning the irregularities in his biological passport. Roman participated in the hearing personally together with his attorney, Jan Šťovíček. The verdict is scheduled to be announced on  22nd  September, at the latest.

“The court seemed strict and asked many questions. They were interested in the hearing of our experts, which made the whole process really long. I am still convinced of my innocence. I have never used any banned substances and I have never done anything wrong, I believe we will win this case,” said Roman.

“Jan Šťovíček and one of our experts put in a lot of hard work, I was more an observer than anything else. For me it is quite annoying because the case has been dragging since June, 2013. I sincerely hope that we are approaching the end now and it will be over soon,” wished Roman.

“The experts were trying to defend their statements about my innocence. The Czech Olympic Committee had all the materials available to read through. They will have more time to go over them and give evaluation, as the dossier is really extensive. I firmly believe that this absurd case will be settled soon and I will be able to get back to racing and doing what I like most,” added Roman after the hearing.
