Sixth in Spain

“I have to admit that I´m quite happy.  It was a perfect build-up for the Basque Tour. I needed this kind of race to get the racing rhythm into my legs after the short camp and I´m a bit surprised it worked out so well. Congrats to Spilak who made the race and stayed up front until the finish,” Roman said. With his team he traveled to Bilbao where he is planning to take a two-hour ride today. He is set to line up at the stage race around the Basque country alongside Alberto Contador. “The goal is very clear, Alberto targets the overall victory and I am going to the start to support him in the hardest stages. Though, I feel that I have good legs and I would definitely like to notch up some UCI points, as well,” he added.
