The time trial was bad

Roman finished in 44th position in the final time trial of the Tirreno-Adriatico stage race. Despite his disappointment, he was pleased with having move up one spot in the general classification.

“I should have given a better performance in the time trial, it is disappoiting for me,” said Roman. My legs felt heavy after those two stages in the demanding climate conditions. I could not find my rhythm, nor keep the pace. I do not want to make any excuses because the conditions were the same for anyone but I felt really bad today,” admitted Roman.

“I had imagined it in a different way, I should have ridden a better time trial and move up to higher place in the GC. But at least I made top ten and grabbed a point in the UCI ranking. All in all, I can see that my form is improving and I am on the right track.”
