“The team is on a busy schedule and so, to put it simply, there has been a change in my racing program. Tiralongo is set to be our leader at the Vuelta and the Astana team is sending strong riders to the US as well. Apart from myself, Brajkovic is one of the riders who is going there,” revealed Roman who has never participated in this hard race in Colorado. “From what I have heard it is a really difficult race. There are several mountain stages with a time trial at the end. Needless to say, the competition will be really tough,” added Roman who is scheduled to fly to the US on August 17.Until that time, he is going to ride at home. “I was in Italy for four days and I did three very good rides. Now I will be shuttling between Pilsen and the Šumava mountains. I am planning to put in some climbing meters to get ready for the USA Pro Cycling Challenge. I was also considering going on a training camp to Livigno but then I abandoned that idea,” he revealed.
