Things looking good for Wiggins

“It was the kind of a stage where the uphill finish wasn’t hard enough and somehow we coped with this situation. It was mostly Rabobank and Garmin who were chasing the breakaway. Sanchez took a well-deserved victory, he was the strongest today,” said Roman who tried to go on an attack with 4km to go. “I made a move with Spilak but we were brought back after 2km. There is nothing I can do, at least Tira made the podium today,” Roman praised his teammate. Some changes in the GC should finally occur in the tomorrow´s queen stage, however, Roman doesn’t suppose that Wiggins would lose the lead.  “The Sky will take control of the race so that Wiggins could secure his victory. Wiggins is the strongest one here and it would be surprising if he didn’t clinch the overall win. The positions behind him still remain open,” Roman added.3rd stage (La Neuveville-Charmey, 157.6 km): 1. L. Sánchez (Spa) 3:58:29, 2. Meersman (Bel), 3. Tiralongo (Ita), 4. Talansky (USA), 5. Mollema (Ned), 6. Nocentini (Ita), …16. Roman Kreuziger (Cze/Astana).Overall: 1. Wiggins (GBr) 12:40:31, 2. L. Sánchez +1, 3. Rogers (Aus) +7, 4. Mollema, 5. Clement (Ned)  +9, 6. Talansky +11, … 27. Roman Kreuziger +19.
