A day off the bike

What was on your agenda today?We got to the hotel at around midnight from Sicily and I got to bed shortly before 1am. In the morning I slept in and got up at around 11am and had a light breakfast. After that, I gave an interview to Eurosport, then I had a massage and finally, I popped in for a chat with the team mechanics. I had only salad and some ham for lunch and I will have fish for dinner. I´m trying to rest as much as possible to recharge batteries for the next stages.Did you have to go out for a spin?It was up to everybody individually. Some guys rode on stationary bike but I took a complete day off. I might suffer a bit tomorrow but I will get back into the rhythm again. The upcoming stages are not particularly difficult but hell will break loose on Friday.You are going to wear the white jersey for the best young rider. What does that mean for you?It is a pleasant feeling. This year is the last time I can fight for this jersey but my goals are different, of course. It is a good thing that we took the lead in the team classification, we have performed well so far.How do you size up your rivals?I´m still counting on the same riders: Contador, Nibali, Scarpon,also Rodriguez and Menshov. Extremely hard stages are still to come and options remain open. I can´t draw any conclusion from the Sunday stage.
