Feeling good about TT, Giro recon tomorrow

“Wiggins took a well-earned victory, he was the best rider despite his mechanical. Even Talansky showed his very good qualities. As expected, the time trial was the race decider after all and I´m happy with my performance. There was a 6km climb on the course and I rode on my regular bike. I think I distributed my strength sensibly and  showed a well-balanced performance. I just went into the red with the last 800m to go and that is where I lost most of the time. That could have been those 15 seconds that I lost on Porteho,” Roman revealed. All in all, he was satisfied with his performance. “I had reckoned that I should be able to attack the top 5. I grabbed some UCI points and reassured myself that my form is getting better before the Giro.”On his way from Switzerland he is going to test ride one of the Giro stages with Astana´s sports manager Martinelli. It is the 14th stage with the summit finish in the ski resort Cervinia. “I don’t know the climbs there and I need to check out the course,” he said. He is staying in Italy until Wednesday afternoon before he travels to Denmark for the Giro.5th stage (time trial 16.5 km):1. Wiggins (GBr/Sky) 28:57, 2. Talansky (USA/Garmin) +1, 3.
