“They fell down in front of me 1500m before the finish line. A few riders managed to avoid and hit the gas but because it all happened inside the 3km protective zone we were all credited with the same time. The atmosphere in the pack was quite tense toward the end but other than that, it was rather a transfer stage today. Tomorrow the combination of three hard mountain stages begins with the finish on the Austrian summit of Grossglockner.
