It was one big suffering

“I had terrible legs and couldn´t ride. I already got dropped with 20km to go. A dog crossed the way of the group that I was riding in, then a gap opened up and as I was at the back I stayed there. I rode at my own pace the rest of the stage and the reason I did so was maybe because that I knew that I lost any hope of getting a good GC result. I mentally crached and couldn’t give my best. Now it doesn’t matter if I finish in 30th or 80th position. I hope to make it through the tomorrow stage and then maybe the rest day will do me good,” said Roman. Today his teammate Roche lost the leader´s jersey to Moreno by a mere second. “It is a pity but Nico has shown that he is on form because the last kick-up wasn’t particularly his cup of tea. Tomorrow he will have to fight hard and if he doesn’t lose much ground he could win back the red jersey,” he added.
