Nico pulled off an excellent win

“Nico pulled off an excellent win and it is great both for him and for the team that he managed to win at the start of the race. It is clear that he targeted the Vuelta and he is in excellent shape,” said Roman after the stage. As for his performance, he came home in the first group together with his another teammate Majka. “It is a good thing that we have many strong riders who can get a good result. I´m happy to have been able to keep up with the first group. I can feel that I´m getting back into the racing rhythm. We will see tomorrow after another tough stage,” added Roman who also had a word of praise for his fellow countryman König who took fourth.  “It is his first Grand Tour. He wanted to show his qualities and gave it a try right in the beginning. He didn’t score the win but it is clear that he can deliver something in the mountains.”
