We dodged the crash

“The crash happened right next to us but, luckily, we were riding on the left side and could dodge it. None of us went down,” he added. “The stage was really long so we welcomed the early breakaway formation because we could recover a bit from the time trial. The sprinting teams were in charge of the gap that the escapees had. We were trying to hold on to a position at the front during the last 60km since there was a strong wind but, in the end, we came home safely.”
