Cramps dashed all my hopes

“It was a terribly hard day and I didn’t feel good at all. To make matters worse, I got cramps and it became clear that I wouldn’t be able to get a decent result,” Roman said. “I have mixed feelings about the Ardennes Classics. We managed to win the Amstel, which is a great result and huge success but the Liege-Bastogne-Liege didn’t live up to our expectations at all. I feel bad about it,” said Roman who was going to travel to Switzerland where his favorite stage race Tour de Romandie starts tomorrow. “I am really looking forward to this race. I believe I will pull myself together and capitalize on my current shape.”
