The time loss is considerable. Hope for better times

“The time loss is considerable but I put it down to the hard week of racing at the Ardennes Classics. Those riders who competed in all three of them gave a similar performance as I did. I´m still recovering from the Liege. The prologue was really hard and I could feel I wasn’t at my best. But the most important thing is that our guys who had come from a training camp and are preparing for the Giro pulled off a great ride,” Roman admitted. He hopes for better times. “Now we have quite easy stages ahead of us and I hope to get back to my condition.  A queen stage with 4000m of climbing is scheduled for Saturday. I would like to keep up in the front group in that stage. It is still true that I want to ride for the GC but we will see how I feel,” Roman said.He expects that the Sky team is going to take charge of the race in order to keep the Froome´s leading jersey. “They are going to control the race and we can ride behind them in shelter. They have brought along a strong team and it suits to everyone that they will have to work on the front. The other teams will be waiting for the moment when they might get tired or make a mistake and then they will try to take advantage of it.
