Eyeing a stage victory in the US

“Brajkovic is our captain for this race and he had traveled to the US already on Monday to get better acclimatized. He is on a great form and it is a right thing to ride for him,” Roman said. Other riders in the Astana line-up are Petrov, Nepomyaschiy, Kangert and the new asset of the team – Aru. “Shtangelj is our sports director for this event, I am rooming with Petrov and we should make a good crew,” Roman revealed. One team mechanic is traveling along with the riders and the other, from the Specialized company, will join the team in the US. “Many races are taking place at the same moment so we had to find an alternative solution.”As far as his ambitions are concerned: “I definitely want to try to clinch a stage victory. I have picked two stages that could suit me well. The race is going to be very tough and I look forward to it.”
