Feeling a bit better but I´m sorry about Vino

“I arrived there a bit later because I didn’t want take any unnecessary chances on that downhill. When I saw Vino´s bike hanging on a tree I knew that something had gone wrong. He crushed his leg against a rock and it was only hanging on by the skin…The guys helped him to get to the ambulance. I then continued riding because I still can´t go full gas on downhills and didn’t want to get dropped,” Roman described. “There is nothing we can do, we have to keep on fighting. In this difficult situation Vino would like us to try taking a stage victory at least, so we will give it a go,” he added.Roman felt much better in today´s stage. “Today I was able to get out of the saddle, my hand is not hurting so much anymore. The time loss is really big so I eased off before the last climb and took it easy to save up some energy. I believe that the rest day will do me good but we won´t decide until tomorrow or Tuesday morning  whether I will continue the race or not. I hope everything will be fine.”Roman was also disturbed by a reckless driver who caused a crash of Flecha and Hoogerland.  “ Not only should the driver be sacked but he also deserves to be punished. It was madness and there could have been much worse consequences.Stage 9 (Issoire – Saint Flour, 208 km): 1st Luis Leon Sánchez (Spa/Rabobank) 5:27:09, 2nd Thomas Voeckler (Fra/Europcar) +5, 3rd Sandy Casar (Fra/FDJ) +13, 4th Philippe Gilbert (Bel/Lotto), 5th Peter Velits (Svk/HTC-Highroad), 6th Cadel Evans (Aus/BMC) +3:59, … 120th Roman Kreuziger (Cze/Astana) +16:38.Overall:1st Voeckler 38:35:11, 2nd L.
