“Today I had much better legs. I had no trouble keeping my position at the front. What also helped me was that the weather had cleared up. The stage went down relatively smoothly. The team Sky was defending Wiggin´s yellow jersey and they had the race under their control. It is obvious that they are a great team. They know exactly where and how to ride at the front and I guess they will keep doing that tomorrow. They might let a small group ride away but, still, I am convinced that the weekend stages will be crucial.
