I took it easy today

“As for the front positions, the time trial turned out as everyone had expected. It came as no surprise that Andy lost a lot of time on Cadel and, in the end, he comfortably beat him. He pulled off a brilliant ride and my compliments to him are in place.” Roman said after the last stage. Evans almost won the time trial, having lost only seven seconds on the German rider Martin.Roman had nothing to lose in today´s time trial. “We already had a problem on our way to the start. We set out to the venue, which was 55 kilometers away,  three hours in advance but we got stuck in a traffic jam and it took us two and half hours to get there. As soon as we arrived I put on the racing suit and without any warming-up I headed for the starting house. I didn’t feel bothered at all because I took it easy today. This Tour is over for me. The only thing I can´t wait for is Paris, and then the long-anticipated rest,” Roman revealed. Stage 20 (time trial 42.5 km, Grenoblu): 1st Martin (Ger) 55:33, 2nd Evans (Aus) +7, 3rd Contador (Spa) +1:06, 4th De Gendt (Bel) +1:29, 5th Porte (Aus) +1:30, 6th Peraud (Fra) +1:33, … 99th Roman Kreuziger (Cze/Astana) +6:10.
