Lucky me – I avoided a crash

“About thirty riders went down in that crash. We were doing almost 70km/h at that moment. I don’t know if anyone got seriously injured. Our Kessiakoff got stuck there but he only bruised his legs, nothing serious. Luckily for me, I avoided the mishap. At least, it happened inside the 3km protective zone and all the riders were credited with the same time,” Roman said.The GreenEdge took the race under their control as they chased down the escaped duo. “I had good legs today but it was quite a hard stage. It was windy all the time and together with the transfer we spent almost seven hours on the bike. Everything is going as planned. Now it is important to survive tomorrow to save enough strength for the weekend.”
