My eye-ache was not a problem in the stage

“Tomorrow after 200km of racing we should ride over a steep climb called Lanciano but the question is whether we will pass over that climb because the summit is supposedly covered with snow and there have been rumors that the route will be alternated. In any case, we will finish the stage with another short steep climb that is located at the very end. It is going to be hard after 7 hours of riding so we will see how it will go but I want to arrive in the first group, of course. The same goes for the Sunday´s stage,” Roman stated. The Norwegian Boasson Hagen dominated in today´s stage that ended in a bunch sprint, Roman´s teammate Bozic tried to score a success for Astana in that sprint. “Cavendish crossed his way and he bruised his hand a little bit,” Roman revealed.Roman started the day with an unexpected difficulty early in the morning. “I had to visit an eye specialist. Due to the crash that happened in Thursday´s stage a speck of dust got into my eye and it started hurting last night. I was given an eye ointment, my eye was patched and the doctor cleaned it in the morning. Everything went all right during the stage,” added the Astana leader.
