Roman receives the Robert Bakalář Award

“I´m very honored to have won an award like this. I knew Robert Bakalář personally and since the award endorses his name, I value it very much,” said Roman. A chain ring made of glass and chrome, created by the academic sculptor Richard Čermák pays tribute to the legendary sports commentator and journalist Robert Bakalář who passed away two years ago. “It is a good thing that the prize is awarded because that way the name Robert Bakalář will remain in the world of cycling for next generations,” he added. While he received his award from Roman Čermák, Zuzana Bakalářová and her son Robert today, on Friday he was the one who gave awards, mainly to children. “I took part in a ceremony appreciating the cyclists from the Karlovy Vary region. It was a really nice event,” added Roman who is leaving for his first training camp on the Canary Islands next week.
