Roman leaves for the first camp

“…but we´re not going to do any long rides, between 3 to 5 hours on the bike max and we may also do some other activities as well. The goal is to slowly start the build-up because some guys were still racing until recently,” Roman revealed. “The entire team is supposed to meet up on the Canaries but I´m just not sure if the Aussies will make it there. Except for bike riding, we will also tune up the race program for the following season,” Roman admitted. He didn’t fly for his first training camp completely out of shape as he has not been lazy recently. “The weather has been fine so I combined my mountain bike with my road riding but all in all, I spent more time on the mountain bike. Apart from that, I did some other sports, too. What is important is that I didn’t get completely out of practice,” said Roman before the take-off.He is quite looking forward to the first training camp. “Compared to last year the camp takes place a week later so everybody´s managed to rest as much as possible, I think. I look forward to my teammates. There are nine newcomers on our team but the core has remained the same. It will be nice to ride in a bunch again, especially in warm weather.”
