Roman from the Canaries: Happy about the prize

“I´m really glad that after a four year break I managed to become the King of the Czech Cycling again. I view it as a token of appreciation of my good results in last season but I´m aware that it was very close because both Zdeněk Štybar and Leo König had a successful season, too. All the more I value winning the prize,” said Roman. He has entered the second week of the first Saxo Bank team training camp on the Canary Islands. “All the riders and sports directors are here. We´re starting each day by doing a 30-min special exercise and then we hit the roads. We usually ride for about three or four hours because some guys are only starting their season and the local terrain is not exactly flat. The weather has been ideal so far with temperatures about 22 degrees,” Roman revealed.“Apart from training, we had some promo pictures taken and a couple of team meetings took place. Today we took a day off to see some disabled children,” added Roman who is now clear on his racing schedule for the next season. “I am going tol make it public by the end of the year.”
