“I´m absolutely satisfied with our outcome. Before the start I reckoned that we could finish between 4th and 6th place but this is really great. The time gaps were relatively small between the teams. It came as no surprise that Garmin took the victory. What surprised me was Katusha but then when I saw their robust riders it wasn’t so unexpected. Only Hesjedal and Rodriguez gained some time on me but still, I think I am in a very good position before the crucial parts of the Giro. We pulled off a really solid performance today.
