Team is doing a great job

“It is not an easy task for the team to ride all the time in front of me and keep me sheltered. Gasparotto, Petrov, Ponzi and Kangert are those who are doing most of the work in protecting me and I am really grateful to them,” Roman revealed after the stage. “The last 40km were relatively tense. “After the start light crosswinds blew and a group of quite good riders broke away. The pace was really high all day long and I would call it a transfer stage but not an easy one,” he added. The first hilly stage now lies ahead of the riders. “The course seems relatively hard. I guess that some fifty riders will arrive at the finish in one group. And the weekend´s stages promise to be even more difficult,” he estimated. 5th stage (Modena-Fano, 199km): 1.
