Roman´s dream has come true

He made the decisive move with 25km remaining and one by one he shook off the riders that were riding in front of him in a breakaway. He set a brisk pace on the final climb and cruised to one of the greatest achievement of his career.“It´s my first Grand Tour victory and I greatly value this result. I´m happy to have made it. Today´s stage  has cost me a lot of energy and I must admit that I was a bit skeptical about the possible  outcome. In the last couple of meters I was on my limit and didn’t know what was going on around me,” Roman said.“But all in all, I can´t be happy about my performance because, most importantly, I came here to fight for the front positions in the GC. I feel really bad about what happened on Wednesday in Cortina. But what is done is done and I know that if I had stayed in the game for the GC they wouldn’t have let me go,” he added.19th stage (Treviso-Alpe di Pampeago, 195 km): 1.
