Positive feelings about the race

“I went full gas in the TT but I was a little bit more careful in the corners because they were quite slippery. I could also feel that I lacked some energy after those grueling days,” Roman admitted. On the whole, he had very positive feelings about the race. “I have talked to team manager Bjarne Riis and with the sports director and they were satisfied with my performance. My condition was getting better day by day and they say I have a good groundwork that I can build on.”A good atmosphere also prevailed in the team. “Even though we didn’t take the win, Alberto made the podium and as a team we did a great job. Many GC contenders for the Tour were present and now we have a good idea of what we can expect of each other but, at the same, time, we also realized some of our weaknesses that we need to improve.”He is going to take a couple of easy days now. “Then I´m going to meet Bjarne and my coach and next week I´m going to Italy for a short individual training camp. Roman´s next participation is scheduled for the 30th of March at the GP Miguel Indurain and then the Basque Tour that starts on April 1.
