Training camp in Tuscany

“I stayed at my home in Italy after the Tirreno-Adriatico. I took a short breather and then resumed training with easy rides but on Wednesday I travelled to Tuscany to be closer to my coach. I started off a short intensive training camp. I have been riding here on my own and it is the last block of preparation for the Basque Tour, the classic races and the Tour of Romandy,” Roman said.“The training rides aren’t as long as before but they are much more intensive. The point is to get into the racing rhythm. We want to bring some good result home from the Basque Tour because we are going to send a very interesting line-up there. After that, I would like to keep in shape for the classics and the Tour of Romandy,” he added. He is coming back to action at the one-day race GP Miguel Indurain in Spain and then at the Basque Tour.
