Gearing up for Vuelta

“I´m going to meet a couple of my teammates in Livigno. It is not an official team camp, it is rather a casual get-together. Roche, Tosatto are going to be there and some boys might come from the Tour de Pologne as well. I reckon that I will always have somebody to ride with during those ten days,” Roman said. During his short visit to the Czech Republic and his well-deserved rest he also managed to have an audience with the Czech Prime Minister Jiří Rusnok. “I received an invitation from him after the Tour and I must say it was a really pleasant meeting. I sat with my wife in his office, we talked about an hour and I was surprised to see how much he knew about cycling,” he revealed. Now it is definitely confirmed that he is coming back to action at the Spanish Grand Tour. “But I´m not going there with a leadership role. I´ve already done a lot of racing this season and I don’t want to burn myself. I suppose to get into the racing shape for the World Championship where I would like to shine because the route is quite tough and it could suit me. Majka and Roche should be selected as the leaders for the Vuelta and Chris Anker Sörensen could also do well. I will rather try to concentrate on a stage success.”
